Now Roli has released Lightpad Block M, the second version of Blocks’ control pad. The M, like its predecessor, is a roughly 4-inch square rubberised surface used to send MIDI messages to a desktop or mobile device via Bluetooth. It also has a USB connection, used for charging or hooking up to non-Bluetooth computers.

The Roli Dashboard app works. In Ableton the indicator lights show MIDI is being received; in preferences it shows up as expected as a control surface and as a general midi device; it works with Unfiltered Audio plugins (they are designed to work with it); and a max midi monitor effect shows the CC data is being received by a track.
The Dashboard Ableton mode works, but the problem is with the XYZ pad mode: MIDI learn in Ableton will not connect lightpad to a parameter. I have used dashboard settings to send one channel at a time, no luck.
